According to Mr. David Osiany, the Chief Administrative Secretary for Industrialization, Trade and Enterprise Development, the County Government of Siaya is well on course with creating an enabling environment for Trade.
Mr. Osiany said this early this week when he paid a courtesy call on H.E. Cornel Rasanga Amoth, EGH, Siaya Governor at the Siaya County Headquarters. The Administrative Secretary later visited Nambole General Traders, a local private manufacturer of barbed wire and nails and Kenya Industrial Estates premises within Siaya town, Industrial Area.
“I am impressed by the level of investment that is mushrooming in the region. My team will work hand in hand with your Government and the private sector to ensure that enterprises like Nambole get more financing from Kenya Industrial Estates and this process shall commence from next week”, said Mr. Osiany.
While welcoming the team, the Governor said that this visit couldn’t have come at a better time when most of the residents are yet to embrace the importance of organizations like Kenya Industrial Estates in upgrading their small medium enterprises.
“Good will is an intangible asset that is listed in most of our people’s balance sheets but lack of capital to start them off is a major derailing factor towards the desired goal,” noted Governor Rasanga.
The Governor also affirmed that his Government is well on course in working closely with Small and Micro Entreprises through administering laws such as the Cooperatives Act 2020 that is envisaged to ensure growth and sustainability of such enterprises.
