The Government of Kenya <\/em><\/strong>has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Kenya Climate Smart Agriculture Project<\/strong>, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under various contracts for Water Works.<\/p>\n

Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding [NCB) procurement using a Request for Bids [RFP] as specified in the World Bank\u2019s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and Grants by World Bank Borrowers\u201d, dated January 2011 [revised July 2014]<\/u><\/em> and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please Refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank\u2019s policy on conflict of interest.<\/p>\n

Interested and eligible bidders, registered with the National Construction Authority (NCA as Water Works Contractors in Class 6<\/strong> and above, may view, inspect and obtain complete sets of tender documents free of charge from the CGS website (www.siaya.go.ke<\/a>) and the Public Procurement Information Portal (www.tenders.go.ke<\/a>). Bidders who download the tender document and intend to submit bids, should forward their particulars immediately to supplies@siaya.go.ke<\/a>\u00a0 to facilitate any further clari?cation and\/or addendum<\/p>\n

Mandatory Pre-Bid Conferences shall be held and Site Visits Conducted<\/strong> as per schedule in the above table. The Pre-bid conferences and Site Visits shall be attended by one of the proposed key personnel as defined in the tender documents and site visit certificates shall be issued. <\/strong>Prospective Bidders shall Assemble at the County Project Coordination Unit Office located at the Chief Executive Committee Member, Department of Agriculture, Irrigation, Food, Livestock & Fisheries Compound, within Siaya Town <\/strong>at 9 a.m. <\/strong>on the respective dates. Bidders shall make arrangement for their own transport<\/p>\n

All bids must be accompanied by Bid Securities in the amounts indicated in the table above.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 17th<\/sup> June, 2022 at 12.00 noon<\/strong>. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened immediately thereafter at the Alego Usonga Sub-County Offices<\/strong> in the presence of the bidders\u2019 designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend.<\/p>\n

Complete tender documents (original and copy) enclosed in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked with the tender name and tender number should be deposited in the tender box situated at the main entrance of Alego Usonga Sub-County Offices<\/strong> within Siaya town and be addressed to: -<\/p>\n

Kindly note that details in this addendum supersede details in the Tender Notice that appeared in the Standard Newspaper of Friday 20th<\/sup> May, 2022 specifically with regards to the deadline for submission of bids which has been extended from Friday 10th<\/sup> June, 2022 to Monday 17th<\/sup> June, 2022, and the pre-bid conferences and site visits which have been re-scheduled as detailed in the above table. <\/strong><\/p>\n
