\"\"The County Government of Siaya is prepared to participate in the 9th Devolution Conference, scheduled for August 12, 2025, in Homa Bay.
\nUnder the leadership of Governor James Orengo, the County Government has confirmed its full commitment to the event, set to commence next week. County Secretary and Head of Public Service, Mr. Joseph Ogutu, chaired a meeting urging all County Government officers to uphold high integrity and represent Siaya with distinction. He pledged to ensure all programs are fully implemented for a successful outcome.<\/p>\n

The County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Governance, Administration, and ICT, Mr. Agunda Ochanda, outlined the event's week-long program. The opening day will be graced by His Excellency President William Ruto and ODM Leader, Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga.<\/p>\n

\"\"Siaya County has arranged for eleven innovative exhibitors, with one booth reserved for the Governor, and a delegation of one hundred, including members from the County Assembly. Chief Officer for Governance, Administration, and ICT, Hon. Walter Okelo, assured full cooperation to ensure the conference proceeds as planned. \u201cThe event is well-organized and meticulously planned, thanks to the efforts of committee planners Mr. George Okelo and Mr. Chrispine Omondi,\u201d Hon. Okelo stated. He confirmed that all financial logistics have been thoroughly arranged.<\/p>\n

\"\"The County Government will showcase its devolution and innovation achievements since the promulgation of the 2010 Constitution, which ushered in Kenya\u2019s new constitutional dispensation. Mr. Okelo, the steering committee chairman, reviewed the detailed plans and team tasks for the conference, assuring that preparations are complete for a successful event.<\/p>\n

Conference Schedule:
\nDay 1: Official opening by President William Ruto, Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, governors from the 47 counties, delegates, innovators, and national and county government officials, among other invited participants.
\nDay 2: Good Governance Day.
\nDay 3: Human Rights and Social Justice Day.
\nDay 4: Financing, Equity, and Inclusion Day.<\/p>\n
