The hospital will also include a 500-bed inpatient wing, with oncology and general medical wards. The facility, to be built in phases, will include a mother-and-child complex among other notable features.<\/p>\n<p>The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) will oversee the construction of the facility.<\/p>\n<p>Today's meeting also follows a visit three weeks ago by Dr. Ouma Oluga, Principal Secretary for Medical Services, and his counterpart from the Ministry of Defence, Dr. Patrick Mariru.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Governor James Orengo received an update on the planned upgrade of Siaya County Referral Hospital from the Kenya Defence Forces at his office today.
