The new facility will feature advanced infrastructure, including an ultramodern operating theatre, radiology and x-ray unit, state-of-the-art laboratory, accident and emergency unit, maternity wing with a 50-bed capacity, and specialized areas for physiotherapy, ultrasound, and blood transfusion.<\/p>\n

The design includes ramps, expanded corridors, a kitchen pantry, a casualty area with a 24-hour nurse station, and a plaster room.<\/p>\n

The hospital will have a dedicated ambulance, a megawatt standby generator for uninterrupted power, and ample parking for efficient access.<\/p>\n

The facility aims to serve Ugenya\u2019s population of 134,000 (72,000 female, 61,000 male, per the 2019 census) and reduce preventable deaths by improving healthcare access.<\/p>\n

Area MCA Hon. Joseph Oduor praised the governor for enhancing services, including permanent employment for ECDE teachers and robust healthcare initiatives. Local leaders urged for assessment services to be brought closer to Ukwala. Governor Orengo promised continued progress, announcing further hospital developments in Aboke and Sifuyo, and a groundbreaking in Siaya on September 8, 2025, to boost economic stimulus. The Nyalore administration\u2019s blueprint focuses on widespread healthcare infrastructure improvements, enhancing maternal health and overall services in Siaya.<\/p>\n
