He specifically noted the construction of four surgical theatres, two of which are complete, supported by KCB\u2019s financial assistance.<\/p>\n<p>The Governor also emphasized potential collaboration in agriculture, the blue economy, and micro,small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). He urged KCB to serve as a premier sponsor for key county events, including the Siaya International Trade and Investment Conference (SITICO), scheduled for 14th \u201317th October at Siaya National Polytechnic.<\/p>\n<p>Governor Orengo stressed the importance of a well-organized investment conference to drive development, noting that the county has secured 100 hectares of land for projects requiring KCB\u2019s support.<\/p>\n<p>He also mentioned an upcoming nuclear power plant expected to add 6,000 megawatts to the national grid, spurring economic growth in Siaya and the broader region. Addressing safety concerns, he expressed confidence in the project, citing adherence to international safety standards, and encouraged investors, including KCB, to participate.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs. Grace Agola, CECM for Trade, Enterprise, Industrialization, and Cooperatives, passionately outlined investment opportunities, including SITICO, which is expected to attract significant attendance.<\/p>\n<p>KCB Managing Director Anastacia Kimutai praised Governor Orengo for his intellectual leadership and the county\u2019s progress. She recognized Siaya as a region with significant potential and commended the county\u2019s support for KCB\u2019s TUJIAJIRI Programme. Ms. Kimutai pledged KCB\u2019s commitment to supporting Siaya\u2019s development goals under the Nyalore Manifesto. She introduced a new financial product aligned with the county\u2019s revenue networks, offering competitive interest rates and promising substantial returns. Additionally, KCB\u2019s initiatives in solar energy, in partnership with Safaricom for Wi-Fi, aim to create employment opportunities in Siaya. The product will also support stocking health facilities with necessary infrastructure and equipment.<\/p>\n<p>Ms. Kimutai highlighted KCB\u2019s women empowerment programs, noting that approximately Ksh. 600 million has been disbursed to women entrepreneurs. She encouraged the county government to leverage these services to foster economic growth for women.
