\"\"The County Government of Siaya County has intensified efforts to fast-track the construction of the County Industrial and Aggregation Park (CAIP) following a high-level progress engagement meeting with officials from the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
\nThe consultative meeting reviewed ongoing works at the flagship project, which is designed to accelerate agro-industrial growth and strengthen agricultural value chains across the county.<\/p>\n

Currently at 20 percent completion, the project has a total contract value of KES 514 million and is jointly funded by the County and National Governments. While intermittent funding delays have slowed progress, the County reaffirmed its resolve to mobilize the necessary resources and expedite implementation. Discussions during the meeting focused not only on construction milestones but also on the critical support infrastructure required for full operationalization. Key priorities include improved road access, reliable electricity connectivity, adequate water supply, and other essential utilities to ensure the park functions efficiently once complete.<\/p>\n

Upon completion, the County Industrial and Aggregation Park is expected to serve as a transformative hub for agro-processing and light manufacturing. The facility will promote value addition, enhance farmer access to structured markets, reduce post-harvest losses, stimulate enterprise development, and generate employment opportunities for local communities.<\/p>\n

The County Government is actively pursuing additional budgetary allocations to bridge existing financing gaps and accelerate project completion. Strengthened collaboration between the National and County Governments is anticipated to position CAIP as a strategic driver of agribusiness expansion and inclusive economic growth in Siaya County.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
