With all the research and considerations put in place, the lake Victoria region emerged the best site for the construction of the Nuclear Power Plant after lake Turkana region.<\/p>\n
In the lake Victoria region, the nuclear power plant candidate sites in Siaya county scored highest with some of the reasons being:Stable geology ,less exposure to geohazards,access to critical infrastructure and access to security infrastructure.<\/p>\n
Further eliminations were done again in Siaya county after which Liunda and Lenya emerged among the best construction sites in Siaya county.<\/p>\n
Justus Wabuyabo who is the NuPEA CEO during his presentation today emphasized that nuclear energy is the best for Siaya since it has a stable baseload and it also provides clean energy which will favour the environment and lives of Siaya residents.<\/p>\n
For every country to attract investors,Mr Wabuyabo confirmed that energy production is the key.He explained that Siaya can only attract big investors if they embrace nuclear energy which will produce sufficient energy.<\/p>\n
Being that this project is here to stay,, the CEO KEN GEN Engineer Peter Njenga made it clear that higher learning institutions must now start enrolling students for special education on nuclear.<\/p>\n
NuPEA and KEN GEN are still showing their commitment and readiness to work together with the leadership of Siaya County and the residents too to prevent misinformation and to make this project a success.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
