Participants actively engaged in shaping a forward-looking roadmap for the Municipality, grounded in both practical realities and long-term aspirations.<\/p>\n<p>Key focus areas included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conducting an in-depth situation analysis informed by existing municipal planning documents.<\/li>\n<li>Developing a robust strategic framework, moving systematically from the identification of key issues to the formulation of clear goals, objectives, key result areas, and actionable implementation strategies.<\/li>\n<li>Establishing sustainable resource mobilization mechanisms to support the Municipality\u2019s operations and growth.<\/li>\n<li>Undertaking risk assessments and designing effective monitoring and evaluation systems to track progress and ensure accountability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The programme was expertly facilitated by technical representatives from Jaramogi Oginga Odinga University of Science and Technology;Mr Bernard Aulo Ohanga and Madam Marion Nyapola,whose guidance enriched the discussions and outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop brought together members of the Siaya Municipal Board, led by Chairperson Dr. Winnie Oyugi, alongside the Acting Chief Officer for Lands, Mr. George Obare; the Municipal Manager, Ms. Linet Oyola; technical staff; and representatives from various departments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Elisha Obwolo On the third day of the ongoing workshop, the Siaya Municipal Board intensified its deliberations on the development of a comprehensive five-year Strategic Plan.
