The County Government has a total of <strong>2,555<\/strong> staff members expected to be captured in the system, out of which <strong>1,512<\/strong> have been allocated UPN numbers with a significant progress already made in the staff verification and submission processes.<\/p>\n<p>While acknowledging challenges slowing down the process, the Acting County Secretary emphasized that the UPN integration exercise is a critical initiative for the county. She urged all officers involved to accord it the urgency and seriousness it deserves.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting resolved on several key action points to accelerate the process, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fast-tracking the uploading of staff documents and data.<\/li>\n<li>Joint efforts by the verification team to expedite the verification process.<\/li>\n<li>Addressing power and internet connectivity issues by the Directorate of ICT.<\/li>\n<li>Closer collaboration between the Excel team and other relevant units to speed up data processing.<\/li>\n<li>Issuance of a memo to all staff, including casuals, to submit their work packages by Thursday, 23rd July 2026.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The meeting further directed that <strong>the entire UPN integration exercise, including payroll integration, be completed by Friday, 24th July 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Chief Officer for ICT and Public Service Transformation, Maurine Awuor, commended the team for their commitment and encouraged them to sustain the momentum until the exercise is fully completed. Walter Okelo, appealed to all affected staff members to upload the correct documents promptly to avoid unnecessary delays.
