Siaya, PATH Strengthen Partnership to Accelerate Malaria Interventions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Siaya County Department of Health and Sanitation, in collaboration with PATH REACH Malaria Project, has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening malaria prevention, testing and treatment through sustained leadership engagement and community-focused interventions.<\/p>\n

The commitment was reinforced during a strategic leadership engagement between the REACH Malaria Project team and the County Health Management Team (CHMT), which provided a platform to review project progress, key achievements, emerging implementation challenges and opportunities to strengthen malaria interventions across the county.<\/p>\n

The REACH Malaria project
\nReaching Every At-Risk Community and Household with Malaria Services,<\/strong> which supports efforts to ensure communities at risk of malaria have access to essential prevention, testing and treatment services.<\/p>\n

\"\"Discussions emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration between REACH Malaria, the County and Sub-County Health Management Teams to ensure malaria interventions remain aligned with County priorities.<\/p>\n

The meeting also highlighted the need to strengthen community engagement and dialogue, particularly in improving malaria testing and promoting timely uptake of services. Participants underscored the value of using community-level data to identify gaps, guide interventions and support evidence-based decision-making.<\/p>\n

Attention was also drawn to areas requiring strengthened interventions, including Rarieda and Madiany, with stakeholders emphasizing the importance of targeted approaches based on local malaria trends and community needs.<\/p>\n

County health leadership and REACH Malaria further stressed the importance of institutionalizing malaria interventions within existing county health systems to promote sustainability and maintain gains achieved through project support.<\/p>\n

The partnership will continue to focus on strengthening community health structures, improving access to malaria services, enhancing data use and addressing emerging implementation challenges.<\/p>\n

Through continued collaboration, leadership engagement and community participation, County Department of Health and Sanitation and PATH REACH Malaria Project remain committed to the shared goal of reaching every at-risk community and household with quality malaria services.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
