The Department of Governance, Administration, and ICT held a strategic meeting today to review Performance Contracting (PC) for department heads under its oversight.

The meeting chaired by the County Executive Committee Member for Governance, Administration, and ICT, Hon. Agunda Ochanda assessed daily operations to ensure alignment with the County Strategic Plans, the County Integrated Development Plan (2023–2027), the Nyalore 9-Point Agenda, and other key blueprints.

Under the ledership of Mr. Ochanda, the Department of Governance, Administration, and ICT has established key policies and strategic plans that form the foundation of the Nyalore administration’s manifesto, aimed at transforming the lives of residents in Siaya County.

The Performance Contracting exercise evaluates whether critical directorates, such as Human Resources, align with the County’s Human Resources Management policies, staff welfare, and emoluments. It also ensures the accuracy of the employee database to comply with the Human Resource Integrated System and other strategic objectives.

Today’s meeting is part of a series of ongoing efforts by the department to enhance efficiency and monitoring.

In attendance were the Chief Officer for Governance, Administration, and ICT, Hon. Walter Okelo, Director of Public Communications, Mr. Chrispine Omondi, and other departmental heads.
