The County Government of Siaya led by Governor James Orengo, today held a ceremony to sign Performance Contracts for FY 2025/2026.
The signing ceremony involved the Governor and the County Executive Committee Members (CECMs), the County Attorney, the Siaya County Public Service Board Chairperson, and the Siaya Municipal Board Chairperson. Chief Officers, Directors, heads of various units, municipal managers, and other officers attended as witnesses.
The CECM for Governance, Administration and ICT Mr. Agunda Ochanda urged the officials present to adhere to the Performance Contract guidelines to ensure effective service delivery to Siaya residents.
Governor Orengo emphasized the importance of implementing the Performance Contracts: “The Performance Contract is done to assess work and make necessary amendments. This is not an annual ritual but a process designed to produce results.”
Performance contracts serve as a fundamental element in achieving effective public service delivery by promoting accountability, transparency, and alignment with strategic goals.
