Siaya Livestock Champions Set for 2026 Learning Fair in Nakuru
Ag. County Secretary Ms. Elizabeth Adongo has today flagged off a Siaya County team to Nakuru County to participate in the 2026 Inter-County Gender Action Learning System (GALS) Fair, under the Kenya Livestock Commercialization Project (KeLCoP).
The fair, scheduled for tomorrow, will provide an opportunity for participants to share and demonstrate their experiences and success stories while promoting peer learning and knowledge exchange. It will also facilitate networking with GALS champions, market players, financial service providers and development partners, while showcasing innovations and best practices with potential for scaling across KeLCoP counties.
Implemented through the Siaya County Department of Agriculture, Food Security, Livestock & Blue Economy, KeLCoP seeks to increase incomes among poor livestock households, particularly women and youth, through environmentally friendly and sustainable livestock value chains. The project focuses on indigenous chicken, meat goats, dairy goats, meat sheep and apiculture.
