SIAYA PARTNERS WITH NGO FOR TREE PLANTING

The County Government of Siaya today partnered with Stewards of Grace Organisation for tree planting exercise themed Environmental Conservation and Beauty of the Governor's Office for sound and effective working environment.

For a better conducive working environment devoid of air pollution and effects of defforestation, are some key objectives by the partners to ensure the conducive working environment for the County Government.

The collaboration with the County Government ensured a total of twenty 20 tree seedlings were planted within the compound of the Governor's office.

The County Government intention is to fulfil the universal environmental upgrade for the fulfilment of the 10% national tree planting coverage, the programme initially introduced by the National Executive led by President William Ruto.

The Nyalore administration has an elaborate strategic plan of enduring the county forest cover across all the sub counties.

Additionally it aims to keep the environment user friendly for all by ensuring beauty and nature restoration. The County Government plan is to keep growing trees, both for food crops and for indigenous in order to safeguard the environment for long term social and economic effects.

The event was led by Director Governance Mr. George Okelo, his Disaster Management counterpart Mr. Francis Aola and Administration George Ouma together with Patrick Amolo the representative Stewards of Grace Organisation.
