The County Executive Committee Member for Trade in Siaya, Grace Agola, appeared on a KBC Radio talk show, calling on investors to attend the Siaya International Trade and Investment Conference (SITICO) in large numbers. She emphasized exploring vital venture areas to spark an economic revolution for the benefit of the region.
She urged all small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to participate and interact, enabling locals to collaborate with foreign investors for meaningful economic impact and job creation.
Agola assured attendees of incentives for those committing to invest.“Tax reliefs will be provided to early investors in electricity, water, agricultural value chains, and food production,” said Agola. She also reminded prospective investors to diversify into sectors like the blue economy and food crops, including the recently introduced avocado planting in parts of Ugenya.
She promised to introduce start-up funds to encourage local traders to invest more broadly.
Agola called on all delegates and potential investors to visit Siaya and contribute to the county’s development for shared economic prosperity.
