Today the County Government of Siaya, held an inception meeting for Siaya County Energy Plan. The meeting,convened by the Chief Officer Energy Dr.Nicholus Kut Ochogo,marked the official start of developing a comprehensive and sustainable County Energy Plan.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders,development partners,representatives from UK-PACT/FCDO,Practical Action,Strathmore University,County Staff and other partners to share insights and align priorities.
The meeting reaffirmed Siaya’s commitment to expanding access to clean,safe, affordable and reliable energy for households,businesses and industries.They emphasized on driving energy security while protecting the environment.
The participants called for collaboration and commitment to the course. The project if successful will be of great benefit to the residents of Siaya County in terms of job creation,improved livelihoods and a safer secure future.
