Governor James Orengo earlier today distributed innovation equipment worth 7 million to 37 value chain organisations. This is Courtesy of a collaboration between the County Government of Siaya and Agriculture Sector Development Support Programme (ASDSP II) which has seen about 2,895 value chain actors benefit from the same to a tune of KES 22 million cumulatively.The Equipment distributed included incubators, chopper grinders, chicken roasters, feeders, fireless brooders, electric deep freezers, feed mixers, motorized spray pumps, personal protective gears, pruning secateurs, manual sprayer pumps, predator nets, electric weighing scales, cooler boxes among others. They will help the farmers increase productivity of their enterprises in their various value chains of fish, mango & indigenous chickens.
