Release of Education bursary Cheques to Beneficiaries

Governor James Orengo has today released education bursary cheques worth KShs. 75 million to benefit some 10,000 needy students from Siaya County in Secondary Schools, Tertiary colleges and Universities across the Country. The beneficiaries of the Kenya Commercial Bank and Cooperative Bank education scholarships were also feted today. During the release occasion at his Siaya Office, the Governor committed to follow up the disbursement process keenly and ensure that the bursary funds get to the rightful beneficiaries. The disbursement of a similar amount will be carried out annually according to the Governor. He was flanked by His Deputy William Oduol, CECM for Education Dr.Edgar Otumba, CECM in charge of Tourism Anjeline Oduor among other dignitaries.
