Canadian Doctors from Tango Foundation arrive in Siaya ready for Surgical Camp to be held at Siaya County Referral and Bondo Sub County hospitals from 10th- 14th February, 2025.
The surgical camp that begins today has been preceded by the pre-surgical camp registration, which began on 14th and ended on 31st of January 2025 in all sub-county hospitals in Siaya.
The delegation from Tango Foundation has been led by Dr. Ryan Torrie, who has a diverse and accomplished background in the field of medicine, particularly in family medicine. The camp is set to offer a comprehensive range of services, including all major and minor general surgeries, as well as obstetrics and gynecology operations.
The involvement of doctors from Canada, USA, and local doctors from Siaya will ensure a blend of international expertise with local knowledge, promising high-quality care with the presence of international doctors not only bringing advanced techniques but also showing a sense of global solidarity in humanitarian effort.
The delegations were received by the First Lady Mrs. Betty Orengo alongside CECMs Dr Martin K’Onyango (Health and Sanitation) Mr. Maurice MC’Orege (Lands, Physical Planning, Housing, and Urban Development) Chief Officers Dr. Omondi Owino (Health and Sanitation) Mrs. Elizabeth Adongo (Agriculture, Irrigation, Food, Livestock and Fisheries) Hon.
