As the Department of Agriculture, Food Security, Livestock & Blue Economy our key mandate is Agricultural extension and farmer advisory on good agricultural practices and animal husbandry through farm visits, farmer field days, agricultural exhibitions and demonstration farms. Our Journey towards ensuring food/nutrition security including nurturing of commercially oriented enterprises is on course.Led by the CECM for Agriculture, Mr. K'Okoth Sylvestre, we partnered with Integrated Community Development Program at Nehemiah Okoth's residence, next to Ndere Market in North Alego Ward to sensitize farmers on integrated Agriculture for Zero hunger in our great County.
Also present was Kenneth Owuor (Agriculture Sector Development Support Programme Coordinator) and Hon. Scholastica Madowo - MCA South East Alego Ward who is also a member of Siaya County Assembly Agriculture Committee.
