The County Government of Siaya intends to enter into a Partnership with a Media Company for Execution of the Migwena and Piny Luo Cultural Festival and Stadium Opening Event. These events are scheduled for 28 December 2024 to 1 January 2025 and represent a unique opportunity to highlight Siaya County as a cultural and sports destination
Objectives of the Partnership
- Promote Siaya County's Culture and Development: Showcase the county's cultural and sporting advancements to a regional audience.
- Maximize Event Visibility: Ensure extensive coverage and publicity of both the festival and the stadium opening across the Media platforms.
- Boost Tourism and Local Economy: Attract visitors and investments to Siaya County.
- Leverage Regional Reach: Utilize the Media Company influence and presence in East Africa to create cross-border.
Scope of Assignment
- Pre-Event Coverage:
- Develop and broadcast promotional content, including teasers, interviews, and event highlights, on television, radio, print, and digital platforms in East Africa Region
- Host dedicated features and discussions to build anticipation for the festival and the match.
- Event Day Coverage:
- Provide live coverage of key festival moments and the Gor Mahia vs. Yanga FC match on TV and digital platforms.
- Deploy reporters and photographers for comprehensive reporting and social media updates.
- Post-Event Coverage:
- Publish event highlights, including photo essays, video features, and recap articles.
- Document the impact of the event on Siaya County's cultural and economic landscape.
- Content Production:
- Produce a special documentary or feature capturing the essence of the Cultural Festival and the significance of the stadium opening.
- Promotional Support:
- Utilize the Media Company’s digital platforms (websites, social media) for event promotion.
- Run advertisements highlighting Siaya County as a tourism destination.
The Couty Government of Siaya now invites applications from Media Companies with extensive presence in broadcast, print and digital platforms in the Ease Africa Region. The applications should demonstrate capability of achieving the objectives and meeting the scope.
