The County Government of Siaya intends to urgently engage a service provider to maintain, repair and calibrate working standards which are key to safeguarding fair trade practices. A number of the equipment have either broken down completely or have errors above the Maximum Permissible Error (MPE) contrary to Section 16 of the Weights and Measures Act Cap 513 Laws of Kenya. The impact of this may lead to non-compliance with the fair-trade regulations hence loss of value for money.
